The first choice you need to make when installing a glass balustrade is to decide where you are going to fix your glass and fittings from. There are two options to choose:

Deck Mount

A deck mount glass balustrade is installed on the top of the structure you are installing it on.

Installation Methods include the use off:

• Spigots - Hold the glass from the bottom
• Posts - Hold the glass from the side
• Channel - Hold the glass from the bottom

A deck mount glass balustrade is the most common installation method.

Face Mount

A face mount glass balustrade is installed on the face of the structure you are installing it on.

Installation Methods include the use of:

• Spigots - Hold the glass from the bottom
• Standoffs - Hold the glass through pre-drilled holes along the bottom face
• Channel - Hold the glass from the bottom

A face mount glass balustrade is commonly installed on stairs or smaller decks where there is limited room. This is the less invasive method of installation.
